A big thank you to all who came to our annual Supporter Appreciation Event. It was a beautiful afternoon, and a great opportunity to connect with neighbors and hear their concerns and positive strategies for making the OWE a safer neighborhood for all of us.
We will be holding open meetings once each quarter. Any resident of the Old West End is welcome to join the Board and other neighbors at the monthly OWES Board meeting to share concerns, successes, and ideas. The first open meeting will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 7:00 pm, 2528 Glenwood. Come find out more about what we do, and what you can do, to reduce crime in the Old West End.
October and November typically see the highest rate of crime all year in the Old West End. Keeping your yard and sidewalks clear of leaves & snow sends a clear signal that you are home. Please remember that some of our neighbors do earn extra money by raking leaves and shoveling snow. Asking if you have any work for them to do isn’t necessarily cause for suspicion.
